Bloom offers an OHMAS Certified 72 Hour Driver’s Intervention Program that comes highly referred by local courts.
We continue to get positive responses from client satisfaction surveys and are proud of the work we are doing. Clients regularly leave the program expressing gratitude for the experience and promising to no longer continue high risk drinking behaviors. Bloom Recovery Network, LLC remains committed to providing evidence based programming by trained facilitators, screenings and small group sessions by certified or licensed counselors, impactful guest speakers, adherence to program rules, and timely reporting to our referral sources.
Beyond the Driver’s Intervention Program, Bloom acts as Allen County IPS’s in-house treatment provider and offers criminal justice-involved individuals (and their families) programming supported by a grant awarded through the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. Dear Bloom team/ Myself,
My participation in the Bloom driver intervention program has been a profoundly transformative experience, fostering a deep sense of accountability and gratitude. Prior to the program, I lacked a full understanding of the severity of my actions and their potential repercussions for myself and others. The program has provided invaluable insights that I intend to integrate into every aspect of my life going forward in addition to using what I’ve learned this weekend to teach others.
The learning extended beyond the formal curriculum. The shared experiences of my fellow participants, coupled with the guidance of the Bloom staff, proved incredibly enlightening. The most significant revelation was the stark reality of the dangers of impaired driving. I previously underestimated the profound risk it poses, not only to my own life, but to the lives of every other person on the road. The program vividly illustrated the devastating physical and emotional consequences of impaired driving—consequences that extend far beyond the immediate incident and could have irrevocably altered my life, my family's lives, and my career trajectory. This realization has solidified my unwavering commitment to never again engage in such reckless behavior.
Beyond understanding the risks, the program equipped me with practical strategies for making responsible choices in high-pressure situations. I've learned to recognize and harness my ability to pause and carefully consider my options before acting impulsively, particularly when alcohol is involved. The program's emphasis on proactive decision-making—utilizing designated drivers, ride-sharing services, or simply choosing abstinence—has fundamentally shifted my perspective. I now understand that responsible choices are not merely desirable; they are entirely within my control.
Finally, the program underscored the critical importance of personal accountability. Previously, I tended to rationalize or minimize my actions. Now, I recognize that accepting responsibility is not a sign of weakness, but a cornerstone of genuine personal growth. Taking ownership of my mistakes is not simply about avoiding legal repercussions; it's about demonstrating respect for myself and for others.
The support and resources provided by the Bloom program have been instrumental in my journey toward positive change. I am committed to consistently applying the lessons learned and making safer, more responsible decisions in the future. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity for reflection and personal transformation.
Sincerely,
Felisha C.
